华裔印裔为何还是“orang lain”?凡通晓马来文的朋友都知道，“Kita”的意思是“我们”，“Kita”的对象比“Kami”还要广，除了讲的人，也包括了听的人；而“Orang Lain”的意思呢，就是“其它人”在日常马来文的对话里，这两个词是再普通不过的用词，然而，在近来的马来主流报章，不难发现这两个字眼开始有了新的诠释。根据马来报章，如《马来西亚前锋报》（Utusan Malaysia）和《每日新闻》（Berita Harian）里有些文章所谓的“Kita”成了马来土著的代名词，而“Orang Lain”成了非土著的代名词。我们是Orang Lain？为什么我国独立了五十年，我们还是马来西亚里的“Orang Lain”？当初争取独立的只有马来人吗？华人和印度人代表的是马来人吗？独立时高喊“Merdeka”（意即独立）的，只有马来人吗？独立后建设国家的也难道只有马来人吗？
