13th International Beethoven Piano Competition 2009

 

Dear Friends/Musicians/Music Enthusiasts,

We would like to call your attention to the International Beethoven Piano Competition which will take place again in Vienna next year and which is the highest remunerated competition worldwide.

The artistic reputation of musicians is to a large extent determined by the quality of their Beethoven interpretation. The traditional Beethoven Piano Competition in Vienna gives young pianists the opportunity to prove their musicianship and artistic maturity.

The International Beethoven Piano Competition in Vienna is open to pianists of both sexes and all nationalities born between January 1st, 1977 and December 31st, 1992.

No exceptions can be made regarding age limits. The competition is open to the public and consists of an entry examination and three stages.

Closing date for application: 30 September 2008 (date of postmark).

The 3rd stage (Final) with the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra (RSO Vienna) will take place at Großer Saal, Musikverein of Vienna.

The first prize winner will receive a BÖSENDORFER PIANO MODEL 200, donated by the L.Bösendorfer Klavierfabrik GmbH. Concert engagements are also planned for the first prize winner in Vienna, other Austrian cities and abroad. The jury will consist of famous soloists and professors.
